Here’s how the 2026 rules work and how Polar Tint Spring Valley Ranch helps you choose the right film. ### The law (NRS 484D.440) - **Windshield:** minimum VLT n/a — only a strip across the top, with its bottom edge at least 29 inches above the driver's seat; not red or amber - **Front side windows:** 35% — both driver and passenger; non-reflective, measured through the film and glass together - **Rear side windows:** any darkness — 5% limo dark is legal with outside mirrors on both sides - **Rear window:** any darkness — 5% limo dark is legal with outside mirrors on both sides ### Common Polar Tint Spring Valley Ranch pairings - **Front sides at the darkest shade within Nevada law + 15% rear sides + 5% back**: a common pairing on sedans with outside mirrors on both sides (the front shade is measured with your factory glass) - **The darkest legal front shade + 5% all rear glass**: privacy maximum on SUVs and trucks - **50% VLT all sides + 35% on rear**: strong heat rejection without visible darkness on the front ### Going below 35% on the front: what to know Anything below 35% VLT on the front side windows is outside the Nevada legal limit. The exemption covers only the vehicles listed on the application, and the form states that no exemption below 20% VLT will be approved.
